What does App Empire build?
Applications and web platforms, plus telecom systems through Aegir, our software and telecoms division. Aegir makes its own products — Aegir Phone and Aegir TMS — rather than reselling a rack of switches.
How is Aegir related to App Empire?
Aegir is App Empire’s software and telecoms division. It builds and runs our voice products and the telecom systems under them, and works alongside the Apps and Web teams on shared projects.
Is Aegir Phone your own softphone?
Yes. Aegir Phone is our softphone for Android and iPhone. It is built to sit with Aegir TMS, so users, numbers, and policy stay in one estate instead of drifting across vendors.
What is Aegir TMS?
Aegir TMS is our telecom management system — the control room for live calls, queues, extensions, recordings, QR softphone provision, and multi-tenant PBX operations.
Where is App Empire based?
App Empire is based in South Africa and builds for operators and organisations across the region and beyond.
Can the divisions work on the same programme?
That is the usual shape. An application or a web platform often needs identity, voice, or provisioning. We connect those layers on purpose, instead of handing you three vendors and a gap.
